I love our Sunday drives – we always come across something interesting and unique. People are so clever! Two very different looks, the sand dollar is more of a classic look and the flip flops definitely fun and I love them both!
How would you describe your coastal look?

Small shells provide wonderful drainage for plants and they look great! In fact, the herbs in the photo are actually silk, from Pottery Barn (everyone thinks they are real). I used one of my favorite fish platters, set the plants on it and surrounded them with shells we collected from Barefoot Beach, Bonita Springs, Florida. So, not only are they pretty they remind me of great vacations at the beach!
Where is your favorite beach to collect shells? And share your display ideas!

We are so excited about Suzanne Nicoll’s new Coral Seahorse Silhouette! Her seahorse has always been a popular design and is now available in a larger size and in coral.
This wooden plaque is hand made and distressed in Connecticut.
Hang it outside to weather further, or inside as a decorative accent.
Hanging hardware is included on the back.
These are wonderfully rustic, with all of the natural wood grain and imperfections adding to the patina.
It is 40″ tall and available in coral, aqua blue or whitewash.
Suzanne’s beautiful mermaids are now also available in coral and whitewash.

…Spicy, gregarious and persuasive describe Coral Rose, a sophisticated orange that, much like Beeswax, a warm, honeyed yellow, conjures up feelings of faraway lands and locales. Pair either of these piquant hues with a cool, refreshing color-wheel opposite like Regatta for a vibrant color combination that will add zest to any wardrobe. Romantic, fanciful Lavender implies sensuality with its subtle hint of red undertone. Combine it with Beeswax or Coral Rose for a unique counterpoint.
Alluring Blue Curacao evokes thoughts of tropical destinations and pays homage to the 2010 Color of the Year, Turquoise. Practical consumers can continue to incorporate enticing Caribbean blues into spring by pairing Blue Curacao with warm, complementary colors like Honeysuckle or Coral Rose…

Simply changing some decorative accents can make a room feel like it has had a total makeover. The holidays are over and this is a perfect time for re-decorating.
Good Housekeeping Magazine showcased a Maine beach cottage (June 2010 issue) with a great coastal accent. Hanging fishing nets and adding shells makes a fabulous focal point for this guest room.
